Merry Christmas from Brash & Brilliant!
Hope you’re all enjoying the festivities. This Christmas was a weird one for me, with my mom being out of the country, so it’s the first holiday season we’re spending apart. So I spent Christmas Eve with my dad, laughing our bums off at The Interview. Even though we had planned for months to see it in theatres on Christmas day, the download did just fine (probably for the best, too, because I was just howling and snorting unattractively and it would’ve just annoyed everyone in the theatre).
But as we made new traditions this year, I stuck with some old ones, including wearing my favourite (OK, only) Christmas sweater from Joe Fresh. It’s not quite an ugly Christmas sweater — it’s definitely a bit more subtle than that — but it’s still very Christmasy, cozy, and bright.
I’m also wearing my favourite Toronto Maple Leafs Santa hat (yes, this, I have more than one of) that my best friend Katie gave me years ago. She always scoffs when people say that I’m hard to shop for. Her reply is always, “Jesilou? Just get her something blue, white, and Toronto Maple Leafs-y and she’s happy.” She is not wrong.
And, of course, these Roots cabin socks give the outfit that warm and toasty feel.
Tip: Like my jeans? American Eagle has these dark-wash jeggings on sale right now. Go!
What do you like to wear on Christmas? Do you rock the ugly Christmas sweater, or do you go for something more subtle? I’m curious! Let me know in the comments below :)
Happy holidays, everyone!
