Red dress — Shop M Boutique
Leopard print heels — Sam Edelman
Purse — Tory Burch
When a dress is bright red, in your size, and the last one in the store, you don’t think twice.
The price tag on this red dress had a slash through the original price of $68 and the new price of $62 next to it. Prepared to pay $62 for a classic cut and proper fit (it’s more rare to find than you think), I was caught off guard when my total came to just over $30. Apparently the dress had been marked down even more to $28. Total score.
I also like the quality of the fabric. Even though the dress is a snug fit, the fabric is thick and keeps everything controlled and contained.
I’ve been wearing more and more red these days, probably feeling some lingering surges of empowerment from wearing my Wonder Woman cosplay for three days in August. I probably feel inspired to channel WW / Diana Prince / Gal Gadot and dress the part in my daily life.
This specific look makes me feel like I can take on the world. Likely because this red number serves as the perfect day-to-night dress. I love dressing up for the office, for plans after work, and for the sidewalk runway in between.
Oh, and the dirty walking beat of this smouldering hot tune would be pounding in my ears:
Of course while wearing these shoes I
stole borrowed from my mom. Sam Edelman, you make great heels.
