Blue is such an underrated colour when it comes to holiday style. Sure, we see a lot of blue in Christmas decor, but it often gets overlooked when people plan their holiday outfits. It’s easy to gravitate to reds and blacks when attending Christmas parties, and why not? Red is vibrant and looks great in photos, while black is so easy to accessorize.
But blue is such a nice, understated way to look festive and wintery. And it’s the one time of the year I’ll go with silver accessories over gold, to give the whole look that nice frosty touch.
This outfit was also a good excuse to bust out these old silver-heeled stilettos of mine. I haven’t worn them in a couple years, but I was glad to be able to feature them because they were the first pair of stilettos I ever bought for myself (yes, it took me till university to appreciate a good pair of heels). I always loved the femme fatale feel they give off — so sharp yet so classy.
What’s your go-to Christmas party outfit? Let me know in the comments!
