I like to avoid the nail salon as much as possible. Not only is it hard for me to justify the costs of frequent visits, but it must also be a control freak thing — I just really like the freedom to experiment with my own nail styles whenever I want.
However, I refuse to let the task of painting my own nails hold me back from looking as put-together as someone who gets their nails done at the salon. So over the years, I’ve made it a point to up my DIY manicure game to achieve that tidy, high-gloss look at home, while also prolonging each wear.
Watch my video above for my easy tips and tricks for applying your nail polish neatly.
All it takes is a little bit of practice with brush control, and knowing that a few millimetres make a world of difference in a home manicure.
