Hey, friends! I’m back! Apologies for the extended break after my last post. Last month was unexpectedly and delightfully hectic as I pulled together a last-minute move back to downtown Toronto. Now that I’m all settled in, I’ve got some great content planned for you:
- A home decor post so you can see how I styled my apartment (my first foray into decor, eek!)
- A review on Bailey Nelson eyewear (spoiler alert: I love them!)
- A February Sephora haul (a birthday treat to myself!)
- Videos: Selena Gomez makeup tutorial | Era Istrefi makeup tutorial
- And so much more!
But for today’s post I’ve teamed up with two of my lovely blogger friends, Mitra (Leopard Couture) and Natalie (The Girl With Bangs), who are also featuring their go-to looks for this season. Check out how they’ve styled their own favourite winter coats, from the Mild Mild West 😉 to the (only slightly) chillier Ontario.
The winter coat you see me wearing today is the TNA Bancroft Parka. It is, no question, an investment coat — and one that will give you great bang for your buck. Why? I’d say it’s comparable to the Canada Goose Trillium Parka in style and warmth, but the TNA Bancroft is clearly a fraction of the cost of the CG Trillium.
This is my second winter with the TNA Bancroft Parka and I can say that I sweat like a mother in it. I like that it packs so much warmth that I can get away with just wearing a t-shirt in it on a cold day. I don’t show the built-in straps here, but they came in handy when I was at a concert at a small venue that wasn’t doing coat check that night. Instead of having to wear it in the cramped, humid space and sweat all night, I was able to wear my parka like a backpack with those straps! Read more about the coat’s vegan fur chin guard, storm flaps, fleece pockets, and more here.
I’m also wearing these beautiful photo-real leggings from American Eagle. I was able to snag these before Christmas at 20 per cent off (they came to about $13), so I picked up another pair in their galaxy style. I’m really digging the photo-real leggings trend for year-round wear. They’re a comfortable, eye-catching option for adding some pizzazz to your weekend errands outfits. They’ve inspired me to hit the streets again with my camera and capture all the beautiful lights.
To compliment the pink tones in these leggings and my gold minimalist layered necklace, I went with a rose gold French tip manicure. I achieved this look with the Essie Penny Talk and Essie Adore-A-Ball. Props to Louise from Nails Always Polished for the tutorial.
What do you think of this outfit? Have you embraced photo-real leggings yet? What’s your favourite winter coat like? Let’s chat in the comments section below!
Have a great week, everyone! 😊
