Styling for fall creates a lot of opportunity to play with different colour palettes because we get to re-introduce more layers into our post-summer outfits. I’m particularly a fan of the white-tan-pink-taupe palette, seen in this look I put together.
With palettes like these, you can get a little bit more life out of your pastels, as warmer shades help transform softer hues into complete transitional outfits. This waterfall vest from M for Mendocino takes the role of the headline piece as the rosy-pink dress now acts as a muted pop of colour for a late-summer/early-fall look.
To ground the look, I’m wearing my favourite taupe heels from Le Château. Since I see taupe as grey purplish-brown, it lends well to both cool and warm tones in almost any look.
These Quay rose-gold cat-eye sunglasses are like a nice last kiss as we say goodbye to summer.
